She had to be faking it. She was one of those demon creatures who did a piss-poor job of hiding themselves. You take your knife and put it directly into her forehead. As you pull away, you notice her blood leaking out of the new hole you just made. She looks up to it and screams. But...there's no sound. She looks like she would be screaming bloody murder (literally) but she's silent. She falls, head banging against the table. You hear someone come up to you, before gasping and screaming at you. "What did you do to my grandma?!" You explain that she isn't actually this man's grandmother, and he puts his hands over his face. "That's not an excuse! You have no idea what she has gone through!" The man shoved you out of the way, seeing the hole in her head. Fueled by rage, he goes over to you and starts vigorously beating you. He just kept going, not stopping until you were bleeding out on the floor. This wasn't the first beating in this diner, and it won't be the last.
